The new restaurant that Grupo Arenal has opened in the centre of Barcelona needed a fresh and different approach to the proposal of a gastronomic establishment with Barcelona roots and contemporary projection.

Starting from a conceptual germ proposed by the client and the interior design studio, we revolutionised the idea by proposing a name and a brand narrative that encompasses all aspects of the premises, the service and the product.
The combination of the concept of the rambla, where the venue is located, and rumba, a key element of the city’s cultural heritage, generated RUMBLA as a new discipline and a whole discourse around it.
